Autistic Acceptance in BDSM
with J.
As autistic people’s own narratives gain momentum in the public eye, more of us who have always felt “different” are wondering if we might be “on the spectrum”. Many neurodivergent people have found that BDSM/kink/fetish play allows us to explore our sexual frameworks on our own terms , and enjoy the non-judgemental acceptance, the fluidity of “normal” and candid communication styles.
How can kinky spaces not only welcome neurodivergence, but expand how we all understand ourselves and each other without assuming our brains and bodies all work in the same way?
This interactive, no-experience-needed workshop begins by taking apart some common myths and stereotypes about autistic peoples, covers questions about definitions and diagnoses, and uses practical examples and exercises so you can develop a more neuro-diverse understanding of yourself and others, wherever you are, on whatever spectrum you find yourself on!
This workshop was designed and is facilitated by an autistic facilitator and uses unique tools and teaching styles that are geared to develop self-insight in an accessible way. Everyone is welcome to attend.
