This is the first of an 8-part series of interactive discussions exploring the intersections of BDSM and spirituality. Each class stands alone, so you are welcome to join us for one evening or all of them.
Both religion/spirituality and BDSM are sought after for their ability to help a human being find meaning and purpose. Explore the existential themes that weave through and connect these practices in this new series with Headmistress Shahrazad. Participants will be encouraged to contribute from their own lived experience to the facilitated discussion. Topics are non-denominational and can be applied regardless of participants’ personal practices.
Tonight’s theme is “Transcendence of Self: Connecting to the Greater”. Together, we will investigate how the practice of kink and BDSM helps us move beyond our ego into a more expansive experience of self, one that is connected to greater purpose, energy, intentionality, and meaning. Bring your curiosity, reflections, and maybe a mug of tea!
