Unpacking Your Relationship to Power - Intensive

Most people attracted to BDSM are intrigued by and consciously exploring their relationship to power, control and surrender. Power can be used consciously or unconsciously to harm or co-empower, though it is, in itself, a neutral force. After creating a container of safety and parameters for group discussion, Shahrazad will guide participants on a self-reflective journey into the origins of how and why you relate to power the way you do, connecting it back eventually to the realm of BDSM. The class will be closed to new participants after the first class to ensure a strong container for this intense personal development work. Classes will not be recorded and participants should be aware that discussions may touch on family of origin, abuses of power, structural/systemic oppression, and other places where power intersects positively and negatively with who we are in the world.
*Participants are asked to have a blank notebook or journal dedicated to this work that they bring with them to every class.
